«Conquistando mercados
Comenzaron por encargo el año en que medio mundo boicoteó a los productos franceses en protesta
por las pruebas nucleares en el Atolón de Mururoa. El Primero de Toro, un vino de verdad nacido
para competir con otro ligero y simpático, el beaujolais nouveau, nos ha acompañado desde entonces. Y cada año nos recuerda en
estas fechas, mucho antes de lo que cabría esperar, que la nueva cosecha está ya aquí.
La historia se repite ahora. La desastrosa cosecha que este año ha tenido esa denominación gala hace que muchos posen su mirada en las cálidas tierras de Toro y en la bodega de la familia Fariña. Allí se elabora este tinto joven, aromático, maduro y casi goloso de trago fácil que invita a repetir. Y que permite brindar ya por el año nuevo de los amantes del vino, ese que va desde que se abre la primera botella de una nueva cosecha hasta que se puede disfrutar de la siguiente. (…)»

It all started with a request one year when half the world were boycotting French products in protest against nuclear trials in Atalon de Mururoa. The «PRIMERO» of Toro, which was born to compete with another light and fun wine, Beaujoulais Nouveau, has been with us ever since. Every year at this time, it reminds us the the new vintage is here.
History repeats itself again. Following this year´s disastruous harvest in this top region, everyone is looking at these warm lands and Fariña´s family winery. It is there that this young, aromatic and ripe almost sweet and easy drinking red is made. It allows wine lovers to raise their glass for a New Year, that begins with the opening of the first bottle of a new harvest ….»
